Plant a Tree
We’ve signed up to ‘Plant a Tree’ for every product sold through the website as well as another tree when you leave a review. Why? Well, not only are we in a climate crisis, but trees are key pillars of the world for both humans and the environment. They benefit us by purifying water, air and creating better social conditions. They benefit the environment by providing homes for various forms of life, cooling our climate and improving our soil.
We already try to keep our forest footprint as minimal as possible through our supply chain. Our packaging is either recycled or responsibly sourced, FSC approved to ensure responsible forest management.
We’ve chosen some plantation projects which we think reflect Coterie’s ethos, two in Madagascar and Tanzania, one in Nepal called the Eden Projects, and one in India ‘Trees for Tigers’. All help to improve local livelihoods and restore forests in areas of critical importance, helping to protect and recreate a reforested buffer zone that is vital to protect animal habitat. As well as helping Coterie to work towards becoming CO2 neutral and a more sustainable economy.
